(6^th -7^th November 2014)

The 5^th Wenzhouese Diaspora Symposium is to be jointly hosted by the Research Centre of the Global Wenzhouese, the Research Centre of Wenzhouese Economy and Wenzhou University on 6^th-7^th November, 2014.College of International Cooperation will undertake the symposium.

Representatives from relevant research centers and researchers who are interested in are welcomed to the symposium. We hereby notify the relevant issues of the symposium as follows:

1. Theme and forums of the Symposium

The theme of the symposium this year is Wenzhou and the World: Tradition, Reality and future. Four forums are included in the symposium:

1.1 Changes of Overseas Chinese in Prato

Suggested subjects for papers (not restrictive):

(1) Overseas Chinese in Prato and their integration with the local society

(2) Changes in Overseas Chinese Society after the European Debt Crisis

(3) Children Education of Overseas Chinese in Prato

(4) Development Trend of Overseas Chinese in Prato

1.2 The Relations between Overseas Chinese Education and Immigrants’ Language Heritage

1.4 The Entrepreneur Network of Wenzhouese Immigrant Merchants and its Social Capital

3.1 Conference Expenses

No conference fee. Food expenses are covered by the host. The traveling expenses and accommodation are not covered.

3.2 Language

Chinese, English (Interpreting between Chinese and English will be provided.)

3.3 Due dates

We are inviting papers for the symposium.

Your abstract will be reviewed later and you will be notified. Those who will be invited should submit your complete paper to wps_cps@163.com by 1^st October.
